Name:Riding in Reno's Peavine area
Description:Thursday again started on the cool side, but it warmed up in the afternoon. I hopped off for another two hours to explore what's considered the prime mountain biking area in Reno around Peavine Mountain. There is numerous singletrack and dirt roads. I had a rough idea where to go and just followed the trails. Occassionally the singletrack turned into dirt road and I followed that till a singletrack peeled off. I ended up being about 30% on doubletrack, and the rest on singletrack. The surface was the best in Reno, some rocks but mostly pretty smooth. So, overrall this was the best ride in Reno, and a place to check out again. At the end, I checked out memorial to Basque Shepherds, which is near the trailhead.
