Name:Elkhorn Loop
Description:X-country day on a trip to Boise, we drove up Idaho Hwy. 24 through Idaho City to the upper Park'n'ski parking. From here there is the Elkhorn Loop that is groomed and seveal other marked but ungroomed trails. Since it snowed the day before, the snow was very good, about 20 cm of new snow. The loop was not groomed, guess they groom it only occasionally. A day pass is required, but we lucked out since it was free ski day.
Skied the loop clockwise, which is the recommended direction. Mainly because there seemed to be a bit longer descent this way. Skiing was not too difficult, there were several steeper downhill sections but nothing scary.
