Description: | H. W. Coe State Park is quite large, and has hundreds of miles of dirt roads and trails. This ride is located in the southwestern part of the park, starting at Coyote Creek entrance. I have taken an idea for it from R. Gehee's Mountain Bike Northern California, but, made a few modifications in order to extend it a bit and add more singletrack. Overall, I was very impressed with the trails here, the climbs are tough, a lot of the trails are narrow, and, there was almost nobody there on Friday morning. Arguably the best place to ride in the Bay area. I recommend to get a map from "this website" to orient in the trails. Its only drawback was that there is no elevation information, supposedly there is also a topo map of the park available for sale. |
