Description: | This trail follows North Yuba river on the southern side for about 8 miles. Highway 49 follows the river on the other side, which makes it possible to make a loop that is not too strenuous. I started at the Ramshorn campground where I stayed for the night, rode up the road about a mile to Goodyears Bar, crossed the river and found the singletrack about 3/4 mile up. The trail was pretty smooth about first 2 miles, and rocky most of the rest. Some parts were tricky, on loose rocks with exposed hillsides, so, it's good to be careful. The trail ends at Rocky Rest campground, and then follows a relatively easy ride up the road back to the start. Nice map and info at http://www.mtbsingletrack.com/nyuba.html |
