| Description: | Sunset Peak is just east of Catherine Pass, accessible easily from Brighton or Alta on well used trails. This time the experience was quite different since solid snow started about 30 m above Brighton parking lot. Still, it was one of the best snow hikes I have made with a spectacular 400m or so slide down the northwest face of Sunset Peak. On the way down, we found quite a bit of treasures that Brighton skiers lost. | |
