| Description: | The Sun Valley area has lots of trails and most of them can be combined to form larger loops. This one starts at the Greenhorn Gulch trailhead. I rode from the trailhead south on Imperial Gulch trail, up to ridge above Greenhorn Gulch and down into it a little. Then up Mahoney Gulch trail to the saddle and down xx trail to xx road. Then up again on Deer Creek Trail to Red Warrior Trail. On this to the ridge, following xx Ridge trail, the highest point of the ride. Then down Mahoney Gulch trail into the gulch and up Lodgepole Gulch trail, down the gulch and all the way down to the trailhead.
Overall a great scenic ride that gave me a good workout as well. The only complaint would be that most of the steeper uphills and turns were quite loose due to motorcycle use. |
