Name: | Zernovsky Mazec bike race |
|
Description: | An annual local bike race that tends to attract large crowds. After long deliberations due to some mud on the trail, I decided to go for it. Mud was not that bad, worse was about 5 fords of creeks, which made me wet from about thighs down. It was a hard work which again assured me that bike racing is not an every day thing to do. The race was a 2x25 km loop which went mostly on forest dirt roads, and as such was pretty fast. I finished 25th out of about 114 entrants, just a tad before the fastest woman, who happened to be a 2x Czech champion. So, I should say that I fulfilled the plan. The race was followed by a good party with sausages, free flow of beer and live band, which acted like a balm on fried legs. | |
