Description: | On day two of our trip to Znojmo we opted for less climbing and headed south and east to more flatter area. But, before that, we had to climb out of the Dyje river valley south to the border line of the Podyji National Park. Then we rode on some dirt roads through a few small villages, and then headed east through some more wine making country. On an old border road, we stopped at an old watchtower only to meet a watchman there - who was guarding the wine yard against the birds. Then we continued to small town of Jaroslavice, which has a run down castle on a hill overlooking the run down town. We had a lunch there - sandwich we brought, which felt like being 20 years back. Then we headed west back to Znojmo, through some more small villages and along the river Dyje. |
