| Description: | A loop ride that I designed for an afternoon during the conference in Cedar City. Up Kanarra Mountain Road, which is 2wd dirt road that climbs relatively steeply up east from between Kanarraville and Cedar City. It was fairly hot at the bottom, but, as usual, it cooled down at about 8500 ft. Then followed a relatively flat section with some ups and downs on the Kolob Plateau, heading north on Kolob Mtn. Road. There were meadows with flowers and aspen forests. The road turns to pavement right before it starts descending towards Cedar Canyon, there were some good views of Cedar City and the canyon on the way down. The last stretch was a quick downhill on Hwy 14 back to town. |
