| Description: | Monday I had a 2pm massage in Tisnov so I opted to explore some roads south, not too far from Brno. I rode down to Drasov and Cebin (here I admired covered bike parking at the Siemens factory) and from there to Veverska Bityska, which is on the river Svratka near the start of Brno reservoir - a dam on Svratka west of Brno - which is a big recreational area for the town. From there I rode on a trail on the south side of the river to castle Veveri and then crossed the dam/river on a pedestrian bridge. Then on the north side I went back on another trail. Then I rode through Veverska Bityska and a few other towns to Tisnov. Here I had a quick lunch and went for a massage by a lady who lives in Brtov - she owns a physical therapy practice and rents space at a nice assisted living facility at the edge of the town. After that, I decided to check out a newly paved trail that goes through valley between Serkovice and Lomnice which we rode on the tandem last year, the pavement is quite nice. From Lomnice, I just took the familiar road back home. |
