24 Hour Precipitation: Observed vs. Forecast

Enter the validation time as follows: YYMMDDHH (only 12 for HH for 10km MesoEta)
The observed precipitation amounts are from the Temperature and Precipitation Summaries issued twice daily by the NWSFOs that are shown on the maps. Plans are being made to also include data from the RFCs as well as RAWS and SNOTEL sites. Also, verification statistics for season, month, and forecast period will also be created. (If the forecasted precipitation is not on the graphic, or the observed sites that are normally seen, then that forecast or observation is not available for that time.)
NOTE: The Los Angeles NWSFO did not start issuing 12Z summaries until the beginning of June 1997. The San Diego NWSFO does not issue 12Z summaries, just at 00Z.
