Meteorology 101
Assignment 1

The purpose of this assigment is to help you become familiar with features of the Meteorology web server and other information accessible around the globe. The assignment itself is pretty trivial; please spend some additional time poking around and seeing what is out on the Internet.

For this assignment you will have to have two windows open at the same time. Use one window to keep your answers to the questions and the other window to look up the answers to the questions. To open another window select New Web Browser from the File menu at the top of the window. Enter your response to each question in the blanks provided. The cursor has to be in the box in order to enter a response. Be sure to fill out all of the fields.
Then click submit when you are finished to hand in your answers.

Question 2:
Yahoo is one of the many search engines on the internet, so you can search for what your interested in, and it will return a list of all the homepages that contain that information. To go to Yahoo, in the window you have been using to look up stuff, click on the bar that says Location: and erase the line and type yahoo and press return.

Go to some other server other than that of the Dept. of Meteorology and describe briefly the information that you find. Be creative! There is a lot of weird stuff out there. Be sure and indicate the address (location) from which the information was obtained.
