Meteorology 1020- Climate Change: An Atmospheric Perspective

Purpose of Course: Understand some of the science and public policy
implications of global climate change and ozone depletion.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Format: lecture- 2 hours per week (10:45-11:35AM ) in EMCB 114 plus 1 hour
per week 10:45-11:35AM in Marriott Library Mac Lab 1745. The computer lab
sessions will rely on the use of the Internet Companion that will provide
access to many resources on the World Wide Web related to global weather
and climate, potential global warming and its consequences, and
the ozone hole. Attendance is mandatory for lectures AND lab sessions!

Grades: 40% quizzes; 30% final; 30% assignments. Unless arrangements are
made prior to the day that an assignment is due, 10% will be deducted for
each class period that the assignment is late. The assignments will focus on
broadening your exposure to the science and public policies associated with
global warming and the ozone hole through the use of the Internet Companion.

will be dropped to determine quiz average.

a SINGLE SHEET OF PAPER.
