Once you find it, then get a picture of you standing beside the plaque
Find a resource that describes the early research in avalanches and briefly summarize some of the work that has been done.
The maximum extra credit is 1% of the final grade (which is equivalent to 4 points on the final).
You may not get the max if you simply find where the plaque is and don't do a little digging on who/what/when/where/why people were involved with avalanche research in the 1950's and 1960's.
