  • Visit the Hangglider Port at Point of the Mountain. Directions here.
  • Go at a time of day and during conditions when conditions are favorable for soaring. You must have a picture of you with something that indicates you were there (i.e., a hang glider/ para glider either in the air or on the ground.)
  • Using MesoWest, discuss the surface wind conditions at the time you visited and how those conditions seemed to be affecting flight at that time.
  • Read about the early history of gliding at the point available here and summarize the info in a paragraph.
  • The maximum extra credit is 1% of the final grade (which is equivalent to 4 points on the final).
  • Due no later than November 23.
