the Djuric text.
1. Analyze the 500 mb geopotential height field at 60 m interval (about 5520 m) for 12Z April 8, 2003.
Use the geostrophic and gradient wind scales to relate the observed wind speed to deduce the appropriate local height gradient.
2. Compute the geostrophic and gradient wind speed and direction at OTX, DNR, OUN, ILN.
3. Estimate the direction and magnitude of the ageostrophic wind at those four locations.
