05/05/11 spot WX was good, the difference from the RAWS site was
beneficial to our burn for Rock Creek. RAWS site has 19mph west winds
with gusts up to 2mph from the west, in the past the winds in the
valley which Bullhead sits in have been about 5mph less then
predicted. This may not be a
consistent estimate since the
Grand River RAWS has only been up
for about 11 months but RX burns
prior to that had 1-5mph
differences and due to the valley
caused some wind direction shifts
since Bullhead sits at about the
center of the valley bottom of a
few draws.
