This RX burn is 7310 acres of the Upland Island Wilderness area in
Souther Angelina county. We are looking at ignitons to begin no
longer then 48 hours after the next rain fall. This spot requests it
to get this burn on the radar for the National Weather Service. For
this forecast round we are looking for a discussion on when and how
much wetting rain we can expect on the site over this coming weekend.
We woudl like to have at least 3/4 of an inch before ignitions can
start but if there is more rain in the forecast that is find. We
would also like to burn this unit with a Northwest wind. If you can
look at the wind for the next 5 days and let us know how they look in
the discussion.
