An annual trek to Fruita. I arrived on Friday evening, stayed till Monday.
On Saturday, me and Gary went to ride the Kokopelli's loops and ended up spending most of the day there, riding more-less every trail in the area. Clickable map and fotos are here.
Then we refreshed in the campground, spent a couple of hours at the festivities and went early to bed.
On Sunday we went for a group ride on the famous Edge loop. Clickable map and fotos are here.
We were done relatively late, at about 4.30pm, I found a nice campsite in the Bookcliffs area and rode a couple more trails there for another hour or so. Then ate a lot of pasta and watched a moving Greek film in the full moon warm night.
On Monday, I drove to Grand Junction to ride trails south of town in the Little Park area. It was pretty warm, but not too hot, although climbing up on the white sandstone on the Ribbon trail made me sweat quite a bit. Clickable map and fotos are here.
I was done with this ride in about 4 hours and then drove home, getting back just with enough sunlight to plant some tomatoes and peppers outside.
